Multiple Teams · Football Falls to Rival Adams in Opener


Rochester High School hosted rival Rochester Adams in their only home game at Rochester Stadium this season on Friday, August 26th, in front of a standing room only crowd. The Falcons kept it close early, tied 7-7 after a 1st quarter touchdown run by Jameer Scott. Adams would go ahead 14-7, before Rochester struck back as junior quarterback Brent Burtraw found senior wideout Brandon Wright on a 22 yard scoring strike, and tied the game at the half 14-14. Adams would outscore the Falcons 19-0 in the final two quarters, getting the win 33-14. Rochester will be back in action next Friday, as they host Bloomfield Hills High School, at Stoney Creek.
