Every summer Rochester Athletics hosts a military training that is put on by the United State Marine Corp. Sgt. Fox, of the US Marines, who has helped put on three of the events, was again on hand to direct over 60 Rochester High School student-athletes.
The two hour training consists of several obstacle courses, which feature ammo can presses, sprints, low crawls, ammo can carry, and fireman carry (carrying a fellow athlete on your back). The training is meant to help both physical and mental toughness. The student-athletes who participate not only work alongside some of the nations best military personnel, but they also receive a Rochester Elite patch for their Letterman jackets.
A special thank you to Sgt. Fox, and the US Marines who help conduct the training every year.
