Multiple Teams · Rochester Athletics Host OAA Football Media Day

Rochester Athletics once again hosted the 4th Annual Oakland Activities Association Media Day on Friday, August 4th, at the Rochester Community Schools Board of Education. Rochester Athletics has now hosted all four of the OAA Football Media Day events. This year’s representatives for the Rochester High School Football team were returning QB Brent Burtraw, David Karwaski, Lucas Vander Meulen, wideout Drake Reid offensive tackle ,David Robinson, athlete Gabe Szafran, and tight end Ryan Noble. The Falcons return a very good core from last seasons 5-4 squad, but make the move from the blue division, to the white. Rochester will again open with rival Rochester Adams on the road, before opening their new stadium with one of the top teams in division two, Oak Park. Head Coach Erik Vernon is very optimistic headed into the season, and expects his team to compete towards the top of the white division.Returning quarterback Brent Burtraw will lead the Falcons again this season, as Drake Reid and Gba Szafran, will be primary targets for Rochester. Rising junior David Robinson, will look to lead an offensive line that will have some holes to fill this season.
