Rochester High School Athletics is proud to announce that for the third consecutive year, the Falcons will have a finalist for the MHSAA Scholar-Athlete Award. This year not only will Rochester have another finalist, but for the first time in school history, the Falcons will have three! Karlyn Kelly, Kendall Jordan, and Jenna Norgrove have all been selected as three of 32 finalists by the MHSAA. On January 26th, eight winners will be selected to receive a $1,000 scholarship. Wwinners will be invited to the state finals basketball game, at the Breslin Center, to be presented with their award. The previous two years Rochester High School has had a finalist (2016 Ellen Weagner, 2017 Sydney Asuncion), and this will mark the third consecutive year the Falcons will be represented.
Karlyn Kelly is a two sport athlete, she participates in competitive cheer and softball. Kendall Jordan is also a two sport athlete, she participates in swim and lacrosse. Lastly, Jenna Norgrove is a three sport athlete who participates in volleyball, basketball, and softball. All three maintain a 3.5 GPA or higher, and are active volunteers in their community. All three are also captains on their respective teams, and members of the Captains Club.
