Thursday May 10th vs. Farmington
Game 1: Loss 3-2
A walk-off left Rochester on the wrong end of a 3-2 defeat to Farmington on Thursday. The game was tied at two with Farmington batting in the bottom of the seventh when an error scored one run for Farmington. Farmington took the lead with a 2 run homerun in the bottom of the 3rd. The Falcons evened things up at two in the top of the sixth inning, scoring one run when Jenna Norgrove singled. Victoria Wendt took the loss for Rochester Falcons Varsity. She allowed six hits and three runs over six and a third innings, striking out one and walking one. Kyra Shaw, Emily Morrow, Bailey Carlson, Norgrove, and Megan Lorenzo each collected one hit to lead Rochester Falcons Varsity.
Game 2: Win 7-6
Walk-off fashion, again. Game 2 of Rochester vs. Farmington the winner was decided in the bottom of the 7th just like game one, except Rochester came out on top this top. A back and forth ball game was decided in the bottom of the 7th with Rochester scoring the winning run on a pass ball. Jenna Norgrove collected four hits in four at bats to help lead Rochester to victory. Norgrove singled in the first, singled in the third, singled in the fifth, and singled in the seventh. Aryn Gallacher was the winning pitcher for Rochester. She surrendered six runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out six. Rochester Falcons Varsity tallied 14 hits. Norgrove, Kyra Shaw, Megan Lorenzo, Emily Morrow, and Harper Monica all managed multiple hits for Rochester Falcons Varsity.
