Falcons News · Girls Soccer Shuts Out North Farmington

It was a beautiful day for soccer; and the score-line ended beautifully as the Falcons shut out North Farmington on the Raiders’ turf.  Halfway through the first half both teams were level-pegging until a ball got crossed in to the Raiders box; Senior Sam Miller was fouled as she tried to deflect the cross in the net and earned a PK for the Falcons.  Junior Sidney Swart would take the PK and put the Falcons up 1-0 at the half.

RHS came out hungry in the second half scoring three goals to put the game away at 4-0. Freshman Lizzie Jewell assisted Senior Mackenzie Smith; Junior Sarah Novak assisted Senior Kaitlyn DuCharme; and Senior Jillian Lekosiotis assisted Senior Lily Cooper.  Senior Goalkeeper Kaitlyn Godwin made two saves to keep the clean sheet, making this her thirty-third shutout of her Varsity High School career.

The Falcons are 2-1-1 going in to Spring Break and will face Milford and then Athens the first week back.

The JVA team also shut out the Raiders, 8-0.  JVA remains undefeated going in to spring break with a 4-0 record.
