The Rochester Boy’s lacrosse Varsity and JV teams both picked up wins over Port Huron Saturday. The Varsity game was a hard battle that saw the game tied 3-3 after the first quarter. Rochester held a 4-3 lead at half time and was connecting offensively and playing hard nose defense. Port Huron would come back and tie the game and take the lead with 10:36 remaining in the 4th quarter. Junior midfielder Landon Rooney tied the game for the Falcons with 2:02 remaining. Senior captain Colin Kilpatrick would score the game winning goal just 30 seconds later. Port Huron had the ball to finish the game but the defense finished strong and the Falcons earned their first win of the season.
Senior Goaltender George Pecar made 7 saves and the Falcons also saw offensive performances from Senior Aidan Kowal and Junior Zack Curtin.
The JV team pulled a 4-3 victory in their first game of the season.
