Girls Basketball Knocks off Avondale

The Rochester Girls Basketball team knocked off Avondale 36-29 on the road yesterday. The Falcons were led by Paola Barazza with 13 points, and Jenna Norgrove added 9. Rochester will return to the hardwood on Friday, as they take on Ferndale.

Girls Basketball Falls to Seaholm 42-30

After a first half struggle, Rochester battled back in the second half to pull within eight with just two minutes left in the game, but they couldn’t get some crucial three’s to drop, and fell 42-40.

Girls Basketball Drops Road Game to Linden

Rochester went on the road to take on Linden, and despite cutting the lead to just four with three minutes left in the game, the Falcons were forced to foul and Linden won the game at the free throw line 40-28. Paola Barazza led Rochester with 8 points while dishing out 5 assists, and freshmen

The Rochester Girls Basketball team have had a tough road in the early season. After falling narrowly to still undefeated Yale in the opener, the Falcons dropped a road game to West Bloomfield, who just suffered their first loss, and another to Berkley, who has yet to lose. It’s a new season of Rochester Girls Basketball, but unfortunately the result against visiting Yale was not the result they were looking for.
